British Softball finals on WebcastSport

BaseballSoftballUK are pleased to announce that WebcastSport has been selected as a new webstreaming partner, and they will deliver a live webstream of the final games from the BSF Co-Ed Slowpitch National Finals on Sunday, 14 August 2016, with a view to more regular broadcasts of baseball, fastpitch and slowpitch softball in 2017.

MD of WebcastSport Kevin Magee is looking forward to the opportunities this will present “WebcastSport is proud to be partnering with BSUK to webcast the upcoming finals, and we look forward to working closely with BSUK to grow the sport and to bring innovations to the webcasting across 2017 and beyond. With the sport now included in the Tokyo Olympics it is the perfect time to push the sport through to the next level by showing the next generation how the game is progressing in Britain, and we are planning many more webcasts with the BSUK next year.”

“This is a really exciting partnership that goes beyond just streaming live games” said BSUK’s Marketing, Communications & Events Officer, Trevor Greenaway-Clissold. “What has made Webcast Sport stand out from other providers is their desire to be a part of our journey to grow baseball and softball and to get more people playing our sports. We have dipped our toe in to the water for streaming games over the last two years and the product Webcast Sport can produce will really take this to the next level.”

The coverage for the BSF Co-Ed Nationals will include multiple camera-angles, replays, on-screen graphics and live commentary. The commentary team for the broadcast will feature Bob Fromer, who’s knowledge and involvement with British slowpitch softball is second to none, and GB Fastpitch Assistant Head Coach, Liz Knight.

The streams can be watch live and free at BSUK.tv and WebcastSport.com, with timings to be confirmed shortly once the tournament schedule has been finalised.

Plans are currently being finalised for an additional live stream this year with a view to regular live broadcast in 2017.

Greco Roman Russian style

The RSG has been at it again and this time it has come up with some Greco Roman Wrestling form Russia.

It looks a lot flashier than it ever did in The World According to Garp or in any Olympic Games I have ever seen.

It’s not quite WWF but it is certainly doing its best to get with the 21st century.

Blind Football – Internationals

The Random Sport Generator has been at it again and has found us the International Challenge of Blind Football.

The matches are played on a small pitch and all of the players wear eye masks, the commentary is in Portuguese so I am not sure how many on each team are blind and how many are just masked – I will post more when I find out.

In the meantime enjoy – you may recognise some of the South American style commentary, especially when they score.

You can read more about blind football in the UK on the British Blind Sport  site and there are sections on many other sports as well.

Webcast Sport is passionate about helping under represented sport get time on air and if there is enough interest we will look to do a selection of blind sport later this year.
